Wilson Central board approves consent agendas, a tenure appointment and varsity baseball trip to Cortland

The Wilson Central School District Board of Education approved routine consent items and several personnel and activity motions at its March 10, 2026 meeting.

Board President Carter led voice votes to approve meeting minutes dated Feb. 10, financial consent agenda items submitted by the administration (treasurer figure reported as $4,100,535.21), and the new‑business consent agenda for the March 10 agenda. The board also approved personnel resignations and a recommendation to continue administrative duties with pay for employee number 70.

On personnel matters the board granted tenure to Taylor in the tenure area of school social work, with the tenure service to begin on March 10, 2026; the record states the employee is permissively certified in the school social work area. "May I have a motion?" President Carter asked before the motion and the motion carried by voice vote.

The board approved Committee on Special Education/Committee on Preschool Special Education meeting minutes and IEP recommendations dated March 10, 2026, and approved conference and fundraising requests listed on the agenda.

Athletics business included approval of a field trip for the Wilson varsity baseball team to Cortland, New York, in April 2026; coaches named as chaperones were Bill Atlas, Zach Anshaw and Webster Nashmore. The board recorded that any cost to the district will be reimbursed by the baseball program.

President Carter announced an upcoming executive session to discuss personnel matters; he said no board action was expected to follow the session.
