On a separate policy item, the board debated a minor wording choice (the word "better"). Members agreed to remove that word if there was no structural reason to keep it; a motion to approve the single‑reading policy updates with that edit was seconded and carried by voice vote.
No hiring decisions were recorded; staff indicated processes are in place to cover vacancies next year.
