Domestic Relations Counseling Bureau to adopt CharityTracker case-management software
Loading...
Summary
The Domestic Relations Counseling Bureau will subscribe to CharityTracker to replace spreadsheet-based intake and reporting, funded from program income; staff said the software enables kiosk intake, automated reporting and will improve grant-readiness.
Catherine Williams, director of the Domestic Relations Counseling Bureau, asked the commissioners to approve a subscription to CharityTracker for case management and data reporting. The board approved the subscription and Williams said the bureau will fund the roughly $7,000 annual cost from its program income.
Williams described the bureau’s current reliance on multiple Excel spreadsheets, which requires manual transcription and makes it difficult to produce basic statistics (for example, counts by ZIP code or age cohort) needed for grant applications and operational oversight. CharityTracker’s kiosk mode would allow court-ordered clients to complete intake forms electronically, reduce data transcription errors and enable automated reports that staff said would improve service targeting and grant competitiveness.
The bureau will request inline transfers from project income to cover the subscription; Williams said no additional county funds were requested. Commissioners voted to approve the purchase and asked the director to report back on implementation and any measurable improvements to intake and reporting.
Next steps: The DRCB will implement CharityTracker, update website links for self‑referrals where allowed, train staff and provide a post-implementation update to the board.
