Nichole Moore of CVPT told the Albia City Council on June 5 that the city is updating its zoning code and distributed draft materials for council review. She said a public hearing on the zoning-code update will be held June 19, 2023.
The announcement, made during the regular council meeting, was accompanied by a verbal update on related city code changes. Moore provided councilmembers copies of the proposed zoning code changes and invited review ahead of the hearing.
The council did not take action on the zoning text at the June 5 meeting; the public hearing scheduled for June 19 will be the next formal opportunity for comment and possible council direction.
