Jurupa Valley staff outline multiple large specific plans, utility and city-hall projects

Paul said Lennar (transcribed at the meeting as "Lennard") and Century Communities are building homes and model units in separate areas and that mass grading and initial utility installation have begun in multiple locations.
Paul also described a long-term Southern California Edison project to underground high-voltage transmission along Patch Ranch Road that could take six to eight years to complete, and he said staff is planning a 10,000-square-foot, two-story annex at the Jurupa Valley Operations Center (JVOC) as an interim expansion while the city plans a future new city hall.
Why it matters: Large specific plans and subdivision activity translate into long-term demands on roads, drainage, public safety and utilities; Edison’s undergrounding and Flood Control District master-drainage work will require sustained coordination and multi-year construction schedules.
