He listed recently completed slurry work and noted projects just awarded, including the Mira Loma safe-route-to-school project (awarded Feb. 5) with construction anticipated to begin in April 2026 and estimated completion in December 2026.
Bascarone also described an Agate Street safe-route/paving project (pre-construction completed, construction hoped to begin during spring break), signal work at Rubidoux and 24th with construction to follow design completion, and a CDBG-funded 25/26 Belgrave paving and ramp update expected to be advertised in late spring. He listed other projects in design, such as Pedley Elementary School sidewalk connections on Felspar and Camino Real improvements and drainage work. For the 25/26 paving cycle he identified Van Buren and Rupa (Galena to Valley Way) as likely main streets included. Several projects are tied to ATP grants and CDBG funding sources.
Bascarone closed noting expected bid advertisements and award dates for multiple projects in the coming months and passed the meeting back to committee leadership for questions and subsequent business.
