The Carlsbad legislative subcommittee voted to forward a drafted letter urging regional legislators to sign on in support of the city's effort to hold Affirmed Housing accountable for its commitments on the Windsor Point project.
Staff presented the draft letter, which was developed in response to a City Council referral and revised after subcommittee feedback. Councilmember Burkholder moved to send the revised letter to the full council with the committee's comments; Councilmember Acosta seconded and the committee approved the motion.
Councilmembers described the revised draft as stronger and said they wanted regional legislators to be aware of the city's concerns and united in pursuing compliance. The packet presented to the subcommittee will be updated per the committee's comments and included in the Jan. 14 City Council agenda for final consideration.
