City Council to fill Parks Commission vacancy; two finalists named

Lancaster said the appointment will be a partial term that runs through December 2026; staff plan to provide an orientation for the appointed commissioner prior to the commission’s July 15 meeting. No formal action by the commission was required at the June 17 meeting; the council’s appointment will determine who fills the dais next month.
