Hillsborough board approves routine personnel actions, contracts and $17,772 screening grant

At its Nov. 24 meeting the Hillsborough Township Board of Education approved a slate of routine action-agenda items by roll call, including personnel retirements and appointments, contracts for student services, and acceptance of a $17,772 Optimal Comprehensive Universal Screening grant.

The human-resources slate (retirements, resignations, appointments, leaves of absence, stipend changes and a settlement with the HEA) was presented and approved without recorded dissent. The operations agenda included monthly bills, the fiscal-year 2025 audit, and contracts with telehealth services (Northeast), Positive Behavior Supports Corporation, Hillsborough YMCA (for 2025–26), GoHAR speech therapy services, and Pro Skate Arena (for 2025–26). The board also approved accepting donations, admitting a tuition student, disposing of obsolete equipment and moving forward with a land proposal related to replacement of temporary classrooms at Triangle Elementary.

Chair announced acceptance of the Optimal Comprehensive Universal Screening grant in the amount of $17,772 and authorized submission of an amended FY26 IDEA grant application to include carryover funds. All listed motions were approved by roll call as recorded in the meeting minutes.

Board members noted the operations committee’s earlier discussion about replacing temporary classrooms at Triangle School and the need for architectural work for a proposed breezeway that would improve access to temporary classrooms; the meeting did not approve construction but authorized further preliminary work and consideration of replacement options.
