Board approves property‑line variance for Joshua Dahl machine shed after site review
Summary

County staff notified the board that Joshua Dahl had initially noticed two variances for an egg/ agricultural building but, after a site visit, the center-line road setback could be met. The remaining request before the board was a property‑line variance to place an equipment shed.
Dahl said the new shed location follows the prior shed/ barn footprint and described a 40×80 footprint. The board discussed survey pins, existing rock/liming base at the silage pad and that a recent survey (around 2017) included pins near the right of way. Staff said the proposed location minimizes disturbance to tillable acreage and that findings of practical difficulty and unique circumstances applied.
The board moved, seconded and approved the requested property-line variance consistent with staff findings.
