The Houston County board opened with roll call, elected Franklin Hahn chair and Ken Anderson vice chair, and approved the previous meeting's minutes by voice vote.
The meeting then moved through a series of land-use hearings. Staff read notices for several setback‑variance applications and applicants described site constraints, septic plans and drainage. County staff repeatedly emphasized state and county setback standards (including the 20‑foot minimum from right-of-way for front-yard encroachments and requirements for septic permitting). Board members focused questions on drainage, driveway grades, septic siting and whether proposed placements would create public-safety impacts on adjacent township roads.
After discussion the board approved each individual variance motion that was placed before it. The meeting concluded with a standard motion to adjourn.
