The Grant County Quorum Court adopted Appropriation Ordinance No. 2026-03 on Feb. 23, 2026, amending the county’s previously adopted 2026 budget.
Justice Mike Nevens moved to adopt the ordinance, described in the minutes as "AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ORIGINAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE 2025-23, THE 2026 ANNUAL BUDGET, GRANT COUNTY ARKANSAS." Justice Mark Allen seconded the motion, and the court recorded a 9–0 vote in favor.
Earlier in the meeting the court approved the minutes from its Jan. 29, 2026 meeting. Justice Paul Drake moved to approve the minutes; Justice Danny Bone seconded and the court voted 9–0. The financial statement submitted to the court was similarly accepted after a motion by Justice Mike Nevens and a second from Justice Danny Bone; the minutes record a 9–0 vote to accept the financial statement.
A sales tax report was submitted to the Quorum Court for review; the minutes do not show a recorded vote on the report. No other business was presented, and Justice Paul Drake moved to adjourn; Justice Mark Allen seconded.
The minutes conclude with the county judge’s and circuit clerk’s names on the record. The minutes do not record further debate over the ordinance or specify line-item changes in the budget; the ordinance number and the unanimous vote are recorded in the official minutes.
