Members voiced concerns about attendance for an earlier start, potential community pushback and the interaction with the teachers’ contract (which permits starting after Aug. 24). Several members said they had already received calls from parents about the proposed dates.
No formal vote occurred Jan. 20; the committee will place the calendar motion on the regular meeting agenda for a formal vote at 6 p.m.
