Ware County advances airport safety work orders for tree removal and runway design

Separately, Mr. Shubert presented Work Order 25‑12 with Passero Associates for design of rehabilitation of Runway 1/19 at a total design cost of $137,516. He said the typical funding split is 90% federal/10% state and local, but this year the split is 95/5; Ware County's share of design cost would be approximately 2.5% (about $3,347.90). The work order was added to the regular meeting agenda for approval.
No formal awards or payments were made during the work session; both work orders were placed on the agenda for the upcoming regular meeting where commissioners can vote on contract awards and funding authorizations.
