Seneca County commissioners approved two formal measures at the meeting: a fiscal supplemental appropriation for sheriff training and a resolution continuing legal counsel for the county health district.
On a motion from the Chair (speaker S1) and a second from a committee member (speaker S4), the board approved a $6,000 supplemental appropriation to the Ohio Peace Officer Training Fund for sheriff’s office training. Clerk (speaker S3) called the roll; the measure passed with a unanimous affirmative roll call.
Separately, the board considered and approved a resolution continuing the appointment of special counsel to advise the Seneca County General Health District on public-records and related legal matters, retroactive to Jan. 1, 2026. The motion was made by a committee member and seconded by the Chair; the resolution passed on roll call.
Both items were recorded as routine approvals in the minutes; no amendments or budget offsets were discussed on the floor.
