Suffield Board approves minutes, trip, course and AP Spanish textbook in unanimous votes

Board Chair Maureen Sattan moved and Melissa Finnigan seconded the motion to approve the Jan. 5, 2026 minutes with two corrections; the motion (MOTION #26-38) passed 8-0-0. The board also approved the Jan. 20, 2026 minutes by motion (MOTION #26-39), 8-0-0.
On the consent agenda, the board approved MOTION #26-40 to authorize a Suffield High School Agriscience field trip to SUNY Cobleskill on March 24, 2026; the motion passed 8-0-0.
The board approved a new Suffield High School Wind Ensemble course after Curriculum and Instruction Subcommittee review. MOTION #26-41 (moved by Melissa Finnigan, seconded by Gianna Rossi) passed 8-0-0.
Finally, the board approved a digital Advanced Placement Spanish textbook for a six-year license at a cost of $2,759.83. MOTION #26-42 (moved by Finnigan, seconded by Rossi) passed 8-0-0.
Meeting minutes were submitted by Secretary Gianna Rossi; minutes remain subject to approval at the March 2, 2026 regular meeting.
