Christopher Locks sworn in as Allendale police officer after council vote
Summary

The Allendale mayor and council approved Resolution 25-263 authorizing the hiring of Christopher Locks and immediately administered the oath of office.
Mayor Wilczynski moved the resolution and the motion was seconded; the clerk called the vote and recorded the motion as carried. Chief McDonough addressed the council before the swearing-in, calling the occasion “such a proud moment for our department” and thanking the mayor and council for their support.
After the vote, Christopher Locks repeated the oath: “I, Christopher Locks, do solemnly swear… that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of New Jersey and that I will faithfully, impartially and justly perform all the duties of a police officer for the Borough of Allendale.” The mayor completed the ceremonial swearing and congratulated the new officer.
The council had no public comment following the swearing-in and adjourned soon afterward.
