Resident calls on Bellmawr to act on dangerous conditions at Hall Avenue site

Delgado said he has observed sinkholes, large amounts of trash, and tractor-trailers parked near the park, and he brought photographs to the meeting. "It looks like a third world country," Delgado said, describing the site's deterioration and saying children climb between parked trailers.
Councilors responded by describing steps they would take. One council member asked Delgado for photos so the borough could notify the applicant and follow up with the applicant’s attorney. Councilman Craig Wilhelm told Delgado he appreciated the report and said the borough would act; during the exchange Wilhelm urged stronger enforcement, saying the applicant "need[s] to get off their *** and do something." The council noted the applicant was given a fixed remediation timeline after approvals; if conditions remain unresolved, officials said the borough can issue citations and return the matter to court.
