Commissioners asked conservations and handling questions about the piece's three-dimensional elements and framing; staff confirmed the work has hollowed-out, raised elements and is framed under glass, which informs handling and storage decisions. A motion to accept the donation was moved and seconded during the meeting and the commission recorded a unanimous vote to add the piece to the city collection.
Next steps: staff will catalog the piece into the portable collection and identify an appropriate city facility for display.
