Albert Gricoski, director of the County Bureau of Elections and Registration, asked the board for approval to pay Election Systems & Software (ES&S) for annual post-warranty maintenance and support for county election machines. The request lists four annual costs: $121,512 (2026), $126,318 (2027), $131,353 (2028) and $136,469 (2029), for a four-year total of $515,652. The maintenance line item was anticipated in the 2026 budget; the services include bi-annual on-site maintenance by ES&S.
Gricoski presented the estimate at the Feb. 18 work session but no roll-call motion to approve the ES&S schedule appears in the meeting minutes. The item was described as budgeted, and commissioners heard the cost schedule during the meeting.
If the board proceeds with the payments, the county’s elections maintenance budget will cover recurring post-warranty support through 2029; the work-session record does not include additional contract terms or an executed approval in the minutes.
