In other business, staff presented a first reading of updated bidding and procurement thresholds (raising some federal purchase thresholds from $10,000 to $15,000 and increasing other maximums) to align the district policy with recently updated federal definitions. Board members asked clarifying questions about terminology changes from "essential" to "critical" and were told this reflects updated vocabulary from WASDA.
Information items included Procedure 1420p; a board member requested the land acknowledgment be revised and staff agreed to bring a draft to a future work session.
