“I am here representing the Ring Thumb Garden Club and the historical society,” Peggy Green said. She described the marker as a memorial for families of fallen service members and provided ceremony details, including a planned short dedication and a free lunch.
Later in the public comment period, Glenn Meyer (75 Dover Ridge Road) addressed the board with pointed criticism of a commissioner’s handling of zoning and code interpretations, raising transparency questions about documents and prior votes. Meyer alleged a commissioner had misinterpreted local codes in ways that affected decisions on lot-size requirements and past variance requests and asked the board to identify the source of certain documents and receipts discussed in prior matters.
“You must be transparent and tell us specifically where she got the info,” Meyer said, urging the board to provide receipts or names tied to records he referenced. He also criticized what he described as inconsistency in past votes and called for clearer public records.
The chair thanked both speakers; no formal board action followed from the comments during the meeting.
What’s next: The Gold Star dedication is scheduled for April 4; the board did not announce follow-up action in response to the transparency concerns raised during public comment.
