Ringgold County board approves FY27 property tax levy, sets April 6 budget hearing and accepts treasurer's report

The Ringgold County Board of Supervisors on March 23 unanimously approved the FY27 proposed property tax levy as published and set a public hearing on the proposed FY27 budget for Monday, April 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the assembly room at the Ringgold County Courthouse.
After a short recess for the levy hearing, the board reconvened and moved forward with the advertised levy. Supervisors also approved multiple resolutions by unanimous vote, including: RC26-45 approving final plans for project L-MIDDLEFORK10(1)--73-80; RC26-46 to advertise and set a local letting for the Middle Fork project (local letting scheduled for April 6, 2026 at 9:30 a.m.); RC26-47 approving the FY27 proposed property tax levy; RC26-48 setting the FY27 proposed budget hearing for April 6 at 10:00 a.m.; and RC26-49 approving the Treasurer's February month-end report as presented by Treasurer Debra Cannon.
Treasurer Debra Cannon reviewed the February financial report for her department; the board moved forward with approval. The meeting record shows routine motions to approve the agenda and minutes and a final unanimous vote to adjourn.
