Danbury Board of Awards approves 13 contracts and ARPA-funded services, including HVAC work and shelter agreement

Chip Volkin, Danbury’s purchasing agent, opened the Board of Awards meeting at 10:05 a.m. and read a roll call of city staff and officials before the board moved through a 13-item agenda.
The board approved a $218,000 contract with Prior Architecture to provide HVAC assessment and modification services for Danbury High School. Volkin said the award is funded through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) dollars and that the city’s financial consultant, PKF O’Connor Davies, had reviewed the procurement and found it consistent with ARPA purchasing requirements. Finance director Dan Garrick moved the award and the motion carried unanimously.
Also approved was a $35,251.86 change order to the Childscapes contract for construction of a pavilion and related park work at Terri Wall Park.
