One member recommended sending the memorandum to the commission for approval and a second supported the motion; the committee approved it by voice vote and placed the item on April’s commission agenda.
If the commission approves the memorandum, county staff said the parties would sign the agreement the night of that meeting and distribute signed copies to committee members. Officials also said the city had already provided copies of the memorandum that it had signed on its side and that county legal staff had reviewed the document.
The committee did not record a roll-call tally; members approved the referral by voice vote. The next procedural step is the item’s appearance on the commission agenda for a final decision.
