The Village of Jackson announced that Westbury Bank will serve as the naming‑rights sponsor for the Jackson Community Dog Park and contribute $40,000 toward the project, Director (speaker 2) told commissioners.
The director said the dog‑park plan, approved in 2025, includes separate fenced areas for large and small dogs, trails, removal of dead ash trees and amenities such as agility equipment and seating. "The Village of Jackson is proud to announce Westbury Bank as the official naming rights sponsor of the Jackson Community Dog Park, contributing $40,000 towards the project," the director said.
The director said the sponsorship is intended to help cover additional amenities and long‑term maintenance that are not fully funded in the base project budget. Commissioners reacted positively at the meeting, calling the contribution "amazing" and "awesome." The director also noted that the department's Monte Carlo fundraiser raised about $8,000 net after expenses and remains the department's largest annual fundraiser.
The announcement does not record a formal vote on accepting the sponsorship; the director said fundraising will continue for remaining park features. The dog‑park project will proceed alongside other park improvements approved in 2025.
