Willacy County honors constable for life‑saving action and proclaims April as Child Abuse Prevention Month

Separately, county and community partners asked the court to proclaim April as Child Abuse Prevention Month and described services provided by the Children’s Advocacy Centers of Cameron and Willacy Counties and other local partners. The proclamation (read by a staff member identified in the record as Gloria) noted local statistics and invited the public to a vigil on April 9 at 6 p.m. on the east side of the courthouse.
