Minutes: The board approved the Dec. 1, 2025 regular meeting minutes (MOTION #26-32) and approved the Dec. 15, 2025 meeting minutes with a specified ordering edit clarifying the executive-session language related to an attorney-client privileged communication concerning anonymous complaints (MOTION #26-33). Both motions passed 8-0-0.
Courses: Assistant Superintendent Laura Norbut presented and the board approved new Suffield High School course proposals including UConn Early College Experience (ECE) offerings Design Lab One and Special Topics in Mechanical Engineering, Interactive Media and Web Design, and the semesterization of Principles of Applied Robotics and Engineering into P.A.R.E. I and II (MOTION #26-34). Vote: 8-0-0.
Textbooks: The board approved a new Advanced Placement U.S. History textbook aligned to current College Board standards at an estimated five-year subscription cost of $4,500 (MOTION #26-35). The board also approved a new Grades 6–7 social studies textbook aligned with the state frameworks, at a six-year digital and print subscription cost of $48,514 (MOTION #26-36). Both textbook motions passed 8-0-0.
All motions recorded "All members voted in favor" in the meeting minutes; Sam Toskin was listed as absent on the attendance roll.
