City manager to distribute proposed budget April 6, plans department-by-department review sessions

"I tentatively have us distributing the proposed city manager's budget on April 6," she said, describing a model of ten department evenings rather than the previous format of three long budget nights.
Council members discussed calendar conflicts such as planning board and school-board meetings and several indicated Wednesdays were preferable to Tuesdays. "Generally Wednesday is better for me because I do travel on Tuesdays," one council member said. Lehi said she would start the series on Wednesdays and keep Tuesdays available if extra time was needed.
Councilors also asked staff to track holidays and other events that might shift regular meeting nights and to coordinate scheduling so key stakeholders can attend departmental reviews. The proposal moves forward as a staff plan to be finalized ahead of the April distribution date.
