Staff member (speaker 3) said the district is partnering with Grand Canyon University to offer discounted online courses that allow paraprofessionals to pursue associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in education. “Interested paraprofessionals should reach out to the human resources department for more information,” the staff member added.
The district also launched an employee assistance program available at no cost to all staff. Officials said dedicated specialists will offer emotional support and work-and-life resources, including financial counseling, child-care assistance and legal services.
