Southeast Delco SD says youth survey will guide student well-being supports

Presenter (speaker 2) said Southeast Delco School District administered the Pennsylvania Youth Survey this fall and is reviewing results to inform student-wellbeing supports. “The survey will provide valuable insight into student well-being, school climate, and areas where additional support may be needed,” the presenter said.
District staff also said they are identifying a separate mental-health survey for students who are not eligible for the Pennsylvania Youth Survey, so the district can capture a broader picture of student needs. Officials said restorative practices are being implemented across schools to strengthen relationships and school climate, and that all teaching staff participated in a full day of professional development to support consistent implementation.
District officials framed these steps as part of an effort to proactively support student well-being and to target services where the upcoming survey analysis identifies needs. No survey results were released during the update.
