County ratifies large invoice lists, approves Herrick Recreation change order and schedules goal-setting meeting

The Isabella County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 17 ratified two invoice lists and an adjustments list submitted by the finance committee. Commissioner Steve Swaney moved to ratify the January 30, 2026 invoice list for $943,931.89 and the February 6, 2026 invoice list for $1,670,836.29, along with the Adjustments List dated Jan. 29, 2026; Commissioner Jerry Jaloszynski seconded the motion and the board carried it unanimously after Administrator/Controller Brian Smith reviewed the invoices.
The board also approved Change Order #02 in the amount of $3,920 to the contract with Isabella Corporation for renovations to the campground bathhouse at Herrick Recreation Area, bringing the total contract amount to not to exceed $404,240. Commissioner Bob Campbell moved the change order and Commissioner James Moreno seconded; the vote was unanimous.
Separately, the board scheduled an in-person special meeting for goal setting on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in Room A of the Commission on Aging building. Commissioner James Moreno moved to schedule the meeting; Commissioner Jerry Jaloszynski seconded, and the motion carried.
