Forest Park SD 91 recognizes SCOTTe award winners at March board meeting

The Forest Park SD 91 Board of Education recognized this year’s SCOTTe award winners during its March 12 meeting.
Kevin Bacon, assistant principal at Forest Park Middle School, introduced middle‑school awardees and described SCOTTe winners as students who show leadership, character and service. He named Lamont Matthews as the middle‑school winner and invited students and staff representatives to the front for photographs and plaques.
Teachers from Field Stevenson, Garfield and Betsy Ross read citations for their school winners, praising students’ leadership, kindness and responsibility. Students briefly thanked the board and staff for the recognition.
The board encouraged parents and community members to stay for the meeting or leave after the recognition, and attendees were invited to the group photos.
