Jones also highlighted an initiative she said would train historically Black colleges and universities on finances, 3‑D printed construction and entrepreneurship and said 3‑D printed housing could be a growing construction approach in Michigan. Her remarks combined calls for federal support with community‑led action and fundraising plans tied to private philanthropy and partnerships.
The public comment was the only speaker during the allotted public comment period. The committee then moved to its consent agenda and regular business.
