Camp Verde council finalizes FY27 strategic planning goals after survey review

The Town Council of Camp Verde held a work session on March 12, 2026, in which members finalized strategic planning goals for fiscal year 2027 after reviewing recent community survey results and departmental recommendations. Mayor Marie Moore called the meeting to order at 9:03 a.m., and the session ran until 3:53 p.m.
Town Manager Miranda Fisher served as staff resource for the session. Council members reviewed the Town’s Community Satisfaction and Strategic Priorities Survey and received a brief review of results from the Polco Capital Improvement Program survey to help prioritize projects and services for the coming year. Department directors attended and presented recommended goals for their areas.
Council members and department directors conducted a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analysis and completed a Stop, Start, Continue exercise to identify activities to pause, maintain, or begin. The group also discussed and developed Council working agreements intended to guide governance and organizational priorities.
After those workshops and discussion, the Council finalized its FY27 strategic planning goals and engaged department directors in an initial conversation about action-plan strategies and how departments would work to implement the adopted goals. The minutes do not record any formal motions or votes during the work session.
The session adjourned at 3:53 p.m. The Town Manager certified the minutes on April 2, 2026. The Council’s next procedural steps include translating the finalized goals into action plans and follow-up assignments with department leadership, as discussed at the conclusion of the session.
