The Warrick County Stormwater staff presented the county’s annual MS4 report for 2025 and the board approved the report and authorized the Chair’s signature.
Stormwater staff described the county’s Earth Day outreach plan to deliver educational materials to nearly 780 third-grade students across the Warrick County School Corporation in compliance with federal public outreach requirements under the Clean Water Act: “We are required to do public outreach,” the staff member told the board. The packets are scheduled for delivery around April 3 as part of the MS4 outreach program.
Staff also provided an update on the Westwood Subdivision Section A and B drainage project: 11 of 12 temporary right-of-entry agreements have been returned; staff said they will issue a third and final notice and then attempt in-person contact if the remaining homeowner does not respond, after which the project will be packaged for bid.
A small damage claim from Claim Center LLC on behalf of CenterPoint for repairs to an electric line at 2444 Briarcliff (incident dated 05/22/2025) in the amount of $106.60 was presented. Stormwater staff said the county was at fault for the damage and requested approval of the payment; the board approved the claim and recorded the motion as carried 3–0.
The Chair signed and recorded the MS4 approval and staff were instructed to proceed with the outreach, finalize the Westwood project packaging once the remaining right-of-entry is received or resolved, and process the approved claim payment.
