Huntsville ISD board hears community priorities and concerns in superintendent search update

The Huntsville Independent School District Board of Trustees received an update on the superintendent search and results from community focus groups during a special-call meeting.
Search consultants David Thompson and Dr. Mike Moses told trustees that each focus group—made up of teachers, administrators, students, parents and other community members—reported strong community support for the schools, pride in recent facilities improvements and close ties with local higher education. "Every single group mentioned Doctor Shepherd as a positive," Thompson said, summarizing repeated praise for district leadership and board–staff relationships.
