Magistrate Craig Miller said staff and animal control officers reviewed the blueprints and discussed room configurations and storage needs. "I would say realistically, we're probably looking at 2 to 4 months before we get prices back," Miller said, describing the timeline to obtain contractor bids after the final prints are issued to DS2 Architects (Darren Swacker).
Miller also noted the shelter's storage building is in poor condition and that a steel cargo container may be used temporarily for equipment and supplies; he said he would provide estimated costs at the next meeting.
The court discussed container condition and likely costs; no formal action was taken beyond accepting the report and directing further planning.
