Commission appoints two community members to data‑center subcommittee; public comment deferred

The chair named the applicants and called for discussion; hearing none, commissioners moved and seconded a motion to add the two community members. A roll-call vote recorded yes votes and the motion passed.
The chair also opened a brief public‑comment period for non‑data‑center items, asking anyone who wished to speak to come to the podium, state their name and address and sign in; no members of the public stepped forward during this session. The chair said the commission will provide the opportunity for non‑data‑center public comment once data‑center information is presented at the next meeting.
A final motion to adjourn was moved and seconded and passed; the chair noted the commission cannot begin the next meeting until 7:00 p.m. and closed the session.
Next steps: the appointed community members will serve on the subcommittee and the commission will address data‑center material at a subsequent meeting where additional public comment will be accepted.
