After returning from closed session the Fallbrook Union Elementary School District governing board moved through several routine business items and approved motions by recorded vote.
The board approved the minutes of the April 24, 2025 regular meeting and the April 30, 2025 special meeting following motions and seconds. The board then approved a set of policies on second reading (policy and bylaw codes listed on the agenda) after discussion and recorded ayes. A package of policies was also presented on first reading and scheduled for future discussion and approval.
On administration items the board approved payment of expenses for Superintendent Monica Hazel and Associate Superintendent Kimberly Heusing to attend a leadership summit for women district leaders in Austin, Texas, July 13–16, 2025. The motion to approve travel passed on a recorded vote.
In business services the board approved annual fiscal resolutions (identified on the agenda as resolution nos. 11‑2025, 12‑2025, 13‑2025 and 14‑2025) that designate authorized agents to sign commercial warrants, authorize replacement of warrants and designate agents to receive mail and pick up warrants at the county office of education; trustees approved the resolutions by recorded vote.
The board also approved an educational services item supporting conference attendance and professional learning for staff, and approved the consent agenda as presented. Meeting minutes record the motion, second and recorded ayes for each of these approvals. The board adjourned at 7:17 p.m.
Vote tallies were recorded on the transcript at each roll call and were unanimous in the items described (recorded ayes from trustees yielded passage of the motions).
