At its March meeting the Placer Union High School District Board approved multiple action items spanning personnel, facilities and program support.
The board authorized a communications specialist job description update (to report to the superintendent or designee) to allow the position to be posted pending CSEA review. Trustees said similar positions exist in nearby districts and noted the role supports marketing and enrollment efforts.
The board also approved a contract for scoreboard installation at Forest Hill High School following an informal bidding process; delivery and site logistics (including unloading) were discussed and the presenter said delivery is expected in April. Trustee questions clarified size and sponsorship details.
Finally, the board approved certificated staff permanency recommendations (moving probationary certificated employees to permanent status after satisfactory evaluations) and closed out multiple consent agenda items. All action items passed on unanimous voice votes by trustees present.
The board adjourned after confirming upcoming calendar dates and strategic planning sessions in June.
