Items included on the consent agenda were the acceptance of volunteer firefighter Kevin Watson into the Absecon City Fire Department and authorization of a shared‑services agreement with the County of Atlantic for GIS services. The presiding officer also read a permit allowing the Absecon parent‑teacher organization to hold a citywide yard sale and an authorization to increase Resolution 84‑2025 by $15,000 for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
After the consent motion and a roll call, the presiding officer announced the consent items would be posted and published according to law. The council then took a separate roll call and approved the bill list in the amount of $1,091,244.18.
Council also approved the minutes of the Aug. 4, 2025 regular meeting. Committee reports noted the finance committee will begin focusing on the 2026 budget in October; Parks & Rec members reported a recent street dedication, field house roof donation and other local events.
