Council members said they appreciated behind-the-scenes work through major events—citing Hurricane Sandy and other local incidents—and expressed confidence in the incoming coordinator, named in the consent agenda as Adam Elander (the transcript later spells the name as "Ellinger"). One council member said they had been transitioning the incoming coordinator for months and were confident he will do a good job.
