Hammond’s Festival of the Lakes lineup took center stage at Mayor’s Night Out as event organizers previewed headliners and ticketing plans.
Special events coordinator Aileen Ibarra (speaker 6) said organizers have announced three major acts: Jelly Roll on Thursday night (a ticketed main act), The Offspring on Friday (a free show), and Banda el Recodo on Sunday (the festival’s Latin night). The mayor said about $500,000 in presales had already been recorded for the ticketed show and estimated roughly 14,000 capacity for that night.
Why it matters: Festival of the Lakes is a major seasonal draw that officials said supports local employment (festival hires college-bound students and part-time staff), downtown businesses and regional tourism. Organizers noted VIP ticketing for closer access while most performances remain free.
Organizers said two additional nights are still being finalized and will be announced in the coming weeks; the festival’s weekend format will otherwise include local and regional supporting acts on the non-headliner nights.
What’s next: Ticketing remains open at festivaloflakes.com (as announced). City staff said operational planning and vendor assignments are ongoing.
