At its July 7 meeting the Altoona City Council approved a consent agenda covering bills, multiple construction pay applications, administrative resolutions, a change order, a streetlight proposal, and six Class C retail beer/liquor permits.
Pay applications approved included: Pay App #1 to Concrete Connection LLC for Olde Town Plaza ($100,876.00); Pay App #5 to On Track Construction, LLC for the SE Sanitary Sewer Extension Phase 1 ($418,038.00); Pay App #1 to Synergy Contracting LLC for the 2025 Water Main Replacements Project ($130,097.04); and Pay App #2 to The Hansen Company for the Altoona Public Works Facility ($348,877.05). The council also set a public hearing date to consider changes to Chapter 161.04 (Fireworks) and approved two plats of survey within city limits.
The consent agenda included consideration of a change order with Terracon for the Altoona Water System and a MidAmerican Energy streetlight proposal for 8th Street SW between 28th Ave and the railroad underpass. The council approved six Class C retail permits for local businesses (ZaGaZig Temple/Oasis; Jethros and Jakes; Applebee's Grill & Bar; Uncle Bucks Fishbowl; Brightside Aleworks; Guadalajara). Roll call votes on the consent agenda items were recorded as unanimous.
No individual consent items were pulled for separate discussion during the meeting.
