The Albia City Council on July 17 adopted a resolution approving a city employee handbook. Scott Kelly moved to approve the resolution and Kathy Mobley seconded; the resolution passed with Kelly, Mobley, Dennis Conley, Chris Yarkosky and Brandon Williams voting aye and Merle Regenold voting no.
The meeting minutes do not record the substance of Regenold’s opposition. The council did not specify any amendments to the handbook at the meeting.
With the resolution approved, staff will proceed with implementing the policies in the handbook and incorporate them into employee files as the city clerk directs.
