The Street Committee interviewed two candidates for the street commissioner post. After discussion, Merle Regenold moved and Scott Kelly seconded to appoint Scott Reed as street commissioner. The motion carried 5–1 with Dennis Conley recorded as abstaining.
On public safety staffing, the council approved hiring temporary part‑time officers to help fill shifts; Dennis Conley moved and Chris Yarkosky seconded the motion, which passed 6–0. Council members also reviewed an offer letter for a candidate for chief of police; the council agreed to changes to bonus disbursement and response-time provisions in the letter (no roll-call recorded).
On equipment funding, Scott Kelly moved and Brandon Williams seconded approval to proceed with a grant application to purchase a UTV for the police department. The requested funding model is 75% from grant funds and 25% from the salvage inspection fund. That motion carried 6–0.
