The Butler County Board of Equalization on March 16, 2026 approved a set of eight tax roll corrections presented by County Assessor Vickie Donoghue, the meeting record shows.
County Assessor Vickie Donoghue reviewed each correction, which mostly involved added taxes tied to late filings of personal property returns. The board voted to approve the corrections on a motion by Brad Vandenberg, seconded by Robert Coufal; the roll call vote recorded six ayes and one absence (Jan Sypal).

Kovar: added tax $20.80 (late filing of 2024 personal property return). • #3283 — Dave L. Kovar: added tax $11.20 (late filing of 2025 personal property return). • #3284 — Mark Nebuda: reduced tax $344.30 after the county accountant determined that capitalized repairs and supplies are not taxable personal property.
Votes at a glance: The motion to approve the tax roll corrections was moved by Brad Vandenberg and seconded by Robert Coufal; the board recorded ayes from Vandenberg, Coufal, Scott Griess, Scot Bauer, Tony Krafka and Chairman Scott Steager; Jan Sypal was absent.
