Committee approves two Whole Health budget adjustments, including CYSHCN funding

The second resolution authorized acceptance of dual settlement funding for the Whole Health Department (budget adjustment ID 13930). Veronica moved and Rachel seconded; the motion also passed unanimously.
Both items were presented by the Whole Health Commissioner as additions to the department’s program portfolio: the CYSHCN funding will support coordination and referral work for children and youth up to age 21 with special health-care needs; the dual-settlement funds will support continued tobacco-prevention and youth-education efforts and help fill a vacant prevention role.
What’s next: Both budget adjustments are authorized; department staff will proceed to allocate funds and report back to the committee as program implementation details are finalized.
