The Wales Planning and Zoning Committee approved a permit for a 12-foot-by-24-foot preconstructed shed and agreed to schedule a public hearing on a separate zoning-change application during its meeting Feb. 17 at Wales Town Hall. The committee also approved the prior meeting minutes with a small amendment and adjourned at 7:37 p.m.
The shed application, submitted for property at 140 South 100 East by Greg Mansfield, was described to the committee as a 12'x24' preconstructed structure that will not include water or electrical service and will not require a county inspection. Committee members approved the permit on a motion by Austin Shepherd, seconded by Ron Garff, with a unanimous vote in favor by those present. The approval was made contingent on verification of required setbacks from property lines.
Citizen Chad Edmunds appeared to file a zoning-change application for property located at approximately 300 South 100 East and told the committee that the application attachments would be provided to the Town Clerk. The committee stated it will send notices and schedule a public hearing once the missing supporting documents are received.
